Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith, nee Slominski, age 91, passed away February 23, 2026, at her home in Las Vegas, NV. Former longtime resident of Orland Park, IL. Beloved wife of 61 years to the late Eugene Smith. Loving mother of Steven Smith, Battalion Chief, Christopher Smith, Lieutenant/Paramedic, both Retired, Orland Fire Protection District, and Evelyn (Russell) Maracic. Cherished grandmother of Valerie (Brian) Fishback, Natalie Studebaker, Andrew Smith, Robert Smith, Michael (Emily) Maracic, Kelly Roche, and Jason Maracic. Proud great-grandmother of Dylan, Paige, Ryan, Jaydon, Jesse, Kyler, Colton and Kash.  Mary Ann was dearly loved by her extended family and friends.

Mary Ann was a hard worker, a retired Nurse Anesthetist for 35 years at Christ Hospital. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Cremation private. A private burial service will take will take place at Orland Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
