Martin Douma

Martin H. "Marty" Douma, age 80, passed away on June 9, 2024 surrounded by his family. Beloved husband for 60 years to Laurel "Laurie", nee Evers. Loving father of Sue (Dean II) Koldenhoven and Mark (Tracey) Douma. Cherished grandfather of Dean III (Jori), Nick (Olivia) and Samantha Koldenhoven; Haley (Travis) Chuey, Paige (Cam) Brouwer, Max (Taylor) Douma, Alyssa, Breanna, and Zach. Dearest great-grandfather of Dean IV, Dillon, Lennon; Everleigh, Oaklyn, Grayson, Boone, Brecken, Hayes and Kade. Dear brother of the late Idell (Wayne) Ebbens. Survived by his sister-in-laws Sharon VanderWoude and Phyllis Persenaire. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Marty was a devoted member of the Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, where he served as both a deacon and elder. He was also the co-founder, along with his wife Lori and son Mark, of Lorimar Aluminum, a home exteriors company they proudly ran from 1986 until 2008. Marty went on to work as a driver for Sid's Florist and later Enterprise Holdings. In his free time, Marty loved to golf, fish, and also loved to hunt with his son and grandson.

Visitation Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 1:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service 3:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment private.
