Martin S. "Curley"  Pachowicz, age 94.

Veteran U.S. Army WWII, of Orland Park, formerly of Calumet City and Hegewisch, passed away December 28, 2017. Beloved husband of Rose nee Panaralla; loving father of Ginny Pachowicz, Lynn (Bill) Howes, Daniel “Butch” (Lynn), James, Scott (Linda), David (Karen), and Christine Schell; dear grandfather of Danette (Jeff) Brosky, Jason (Michaelene) Howes, Jasmine Pachowicz, Amanda Howes, Jordan Schell, Ryan Pachowicz, Zachary Zwieg, and Nicholas Pachowicz; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brothers, Walter and John, and sisters, Lottie and Helen. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during WWII and proud member of the Teamsters Local 710 for over 30 years. While known for his tough exterior and rough around the edges demeanor, he never failed to help someone out. He was a contradiction and many called him a “character”. He loved his 52 friends “Solitaire” and could play 24/7. He will be missed by his family and friends.

Visitation Sunday January 7th 12:00pm until time of Funeral Service at 4:00pm at the Maher Funeral Home Tinley Park 7051 W. 171st St.
