Martha L. ''Marti'' Bain

Martha “Marti” Leane Bain, nee Ness, age 55, beloved wife of Stephen Bain, went to be with the Lord and her loved ones on January 5, 2012 after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. Marti was born and raised in Oak Lawn, IL and moved to Cascade, CO in 2006.
Marti was one of four children born to Leo (deceased) and Caryle (Oedzes) Ness on June 28, 1956. She is survived by her brother Norman (Cherilyn) of Tinley Park, IL; Deborah of Archer, FL; and Paul of Henderson, NV. She was the beloved mother of two daughters from her first marriage to Daniel Nienhouse, Julie Bunna of Carol Stream, IL, and Sara (Jeremy) Neufeld of Plainfield, IL. Marti's cherished grandchildren are Jacob, Nathan, and Abigail Neufeld. She was the beloved aunt of Scott, Garrett, Shawn, Megan (Lamaster), Joanna and Michael Ness. She will also be missed by her great nieces and nephew, Alyssa Lamaster, Raquel and Gabriel Ness, and cousins William Giese of Ft. Smith, AR and Nola Giese of Dallas, TX.
Marti was the beloved daughter-in-law to Donald and Edith (Simpson) Bain, step-mother to James (Ashley), step-grandmother to Holly and Landon, sister-in-law to Gregory, Gary (Kelli) and Jeffrey (Anna). She will also be missed by Nicole Roth, Matthew (Heather) and Lissa Bain. Marti and Steve loved hiking in the mountains and walking their dogs Kirby and Shelby. She also loved to travel and has taken numerous cross-country train trips. She was a woman of strong Christian faith with a gift of music, who was a self taught pianist. Marti also sang in the choir, a memory that her mother Caryle holds dear. A Memorial Visitation to celebrate her life will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 1-3PM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
