Marlene Rae Michalak

Marlene R. Michalak, 79, late of Blue Island, formerly of Marquette Park, after an illness.  Loving Daughter of the late Caesar and Marjoie Chap. Devoted mother of Henry "Butch" (Maureen) Bianco and Dana (Scott) Kistler.  Loving sister of Lorrie and Linnea.  Dearest grandmother of Henry, Ashley (Andrew) Haehnlein, Michael, Alaina, Olivia, Logan and Makenzie. Dearest great-grandmother of A.J.  Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.  Marlene was an avid gardener, and enjoyed both vegetable and flower gardening.  He backyard was an elaborate, scenic and masterful display of nature's productions, and many people admired her ability to produce such a bountiful garden year after year.  She was an avid reader, but had a true passion for English Period movies.  Watching pieces on the subject of Queen Elizabeth was her absolute favourite.  She was incredibly intelligent and funny, but most of all, loved her grandchildren and was devoted to no end.  She was also an amazing host, and enjoyed having her family over for elaborate parties.
