Marilyn Sluis

Marilyn R. Sluis, nee Hommes, age 95, beloved wife for 64 years to the late Arthur Sluis, Sr. (2012). Loving mother of Lynne (Rich) Mulder, Debbie (Rick) Ballweber, Jane (late Andy) Lanenga, Patricia Even, Leslie Fazio, Art Jr. (Jan) Sluis, and Lori (Neil) Tanis. Cherished grandmother of 21. Dearest great-grandmother of 20 with two more on the way and great-great-grandmother of one. Preceded in death by her brothers Donald (Chris) Hommes and Roger (Arleta) Hommes. "Mother" to many nieces and nephews.

She cared for an infinite number of community members through prayers, thoughts and monetary ways. Her kindness and compassion showed her deep love of the Lord through volunteering at church and in the community and in reaching out to those in need.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, May 24, 2024 at Palos Heights Christian Reformed Church, 7059 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL 60463 from 5-7 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. A live-stream of the service will be available.
