Marilyn Jenell Rodriguez, nee Barger, age 77, beloved wife for 55 years to the late Primitivo "Primo" Rodriguez, Jr. (2025). Loving mother of Michelle (Scott) Sarkan, Brandon (Johanna) Rodriguez and the late Jason Rodriguez. Cherished grandmother of Madison, Halie, Tyler and Haydn. Dear sister of the late Ervin Barger. Fond sister-in-law of Anna Rodriguez, Francisca Molina and Sixto Rodriguez. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Marilyn (Jenell) was the heart of our family. Born in southern Illinois and then growing up in the Chicagoland area. She graduated from Rich Central High School and entered the workforce, where she met her husband. They married on Valentine’s Day, building a beautiful life that included 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Marilyn worked for many years in the retail industry, the longest being at Kohls department store, resulting in life-long friendships. She loved Jesus; she loved life and her family. A country girl to her core, with a touch of downtown fancy!

Visitation Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Parkview Christian Church Chapel, 11100 Orland Parkway, Orland Park, IL from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:30 a.m. Park in the EAST lot to Enter.
