Margaret Hanna Wiberg

Much loved Margaret Hanna Wiberg, age 101, went to join her late husband, Stanley, and to be with her Savior, Jesus, on December 1, 2009. She was born March 11, 1908 in Flatvig, Varmland, Sweden and traveled by boat to this country at the age of 19. Margaret is survived by her daughter, Betty (Richard) Covert and her son, Rod (Suzi) Wiberg; 8 grandchildren, Bonnie (Stu) Lorenz, Barbra Williamson, Richard (Ann) Covert, Ronald (Renee) Covert, Rebecca (David) Lee; Rod, Jr. (Michelle) Wiberg, Kirk (Gina) Wiberg, Kerstin (Brian) Marrama; 21 great-grandchildren, and 2 new great-great-granddaughters. Margaret and Stanley were long-time and active members of Homewood Full Gospel Assembly. They lived many years in Orland Park, and, after Stanley’s death, various members of the family made it possible for Margaret to continue living there until it became necessary for her, together with her son-in-law’s mother, to move to her daughter and son-in-law’s home in South Holland, IL. Margaret was the ultimate mother and grandmother and the children were so close to her heart. She loved caring for them, sharing with them, sewing, cooking, traveling. She was strong and healthy and died only of old age. She was very hard of hearing and sight at the end, and we thank Home Hospice for their caring and tender attention to her for over four months. She will be so missed by her friends and family, but we thank the Lord that she is now well and with Christ in Heaven. Visitation will be at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL on Friday, December 4th, 2009 from 10 a.m. until time of the Funeral Service 11 a.m. Interment will be at Oak Hill Cemetery, Chicago, IL.
