Margaret Coughlin

Marge Coughlin (nee Kelly) passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the age of 83 years. She loved her family more than anything in the world and was beloved by them in return. She is reunited with her parents William and La Vern Kelly, and her beloved son William “Bill” Coughlin. She will be sorely missed and remembered fondly by her husband of 61 years, John H. Coughlin, her children, Deborah and Shawn, her grandchildren, Melissa, Michael, and Elizabeth, and great-grandchildren Isabella, Zander, and Kinsley.

A prolific artist she painted hundreds of paintings, with a particular fondness for oil portraits of her family and flowers in whichever medium spoke to her at the time. She served as a board member in her community of artists for over 40 years. A lifelong student and teacher, she had a love of learning new skills and sharing those things with her students. She took great joy in teaching children drawing and oil painting lessons for over 25 years. She worked as a floral designer for over 10 years and loved her garden, its critters, and her orchids.

Please join us in Celebrating the Life and Work of Marge Kelly-Coughlin on Friday, January 17, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at 3824 W. 147th Street, Midlothian, IL 60445. Please do not park in the Metra lot. We can help you park your car if you don't want to cross the scary road.
