Louis Charles Zuidema

Louis Charles "Chuck" Zuidema, passed away on March 31, 2021 at the age of 83 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice Home. Born in Worth, IL. Long-time resident of Homer Glen, IL. Survived by his wife of 48 years Diane Zuidema, nee Oranger. Loving father of Lora (late Richard J.) Rossi. Cherished grandfather of Christopher Charles Rafacz and the late Andrew Jonathan Rafacz. Dear brother of the late Bud, Dave, John, Henrietta Posthumus, Dorothy Zulfer and Sharon Ridderhoff. Survived by sisters-in-law Pearl Zuidema and Jae Zuidema and his brother-in-law Dave Ridderhoff. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Chuck was a life-long member of Midwest Operating Engineer Local 150. He was an active member of Calumet Region Model A Club. Chuck loved working on his Model A's. He and Diane hosted the Annual Club picnic for 35+ years where everyone came, ate, played car games and had a good time.

Visitation Friday, April 2, 2021 from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday, April 3, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. To uphold safety guidelines, all guests are asked to wear a mask and respect social distancing requirements. Interment Orland Memorial Park, Orland Park, IL.
