Louis Ouwerkerk

Louis P. Ouwerkerk, age 90, beloved husband for 59 years to Erling, nee Van Meeteren. Loving father of Ragnar (Kimberly) Ouwerkerk and Desiree (Richard) Overzet. Cherished Opa of Danielle Overzet, Richard (Kortney) Overzet, Breanna Overzet, Nicolaas Ouwerkerk, Tiffany (Matthew) Boss, Makayla Ouwerkerk and Jaden Ouwerkerk. Dearest Great-Opa of Grayden Overzet and Coleson Overzet. Dear brother of the late Simone of The Netherlands. Fond brother-in-law of George VanMeeteren and the late Henry VanMeeteren of The Netherlands and Anton VanMeeteren and the late Andre VanMeeteren of Curacao. Survived by his stepmother-in-law Vivian Van Meeteren of Curacao. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Louis was born in The Netherlands and came to the United States in 1963. He worked as an engineer and project manager at the University of Chicago for over 40 years.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service 11:00 a.m. at Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, 7500 Sycamore Dr., Orland Park, IL 60462.
