LoRita T. Deering, nee Fencl, 96 years old. Wow!
September 23, 1930 – October 13, 2026
Long awaited arrival in Heaven joining her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, now singing His praises.
Daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Fencl of Chicago, and the late Richard Fencl her dearly beloved brother.
Married 64+ years and preceded in death by her blue eyed and dimpled Donald.
Loving, creative and hard working mom to Pat (Jackie) Deering, Dena Baro (deceased), Brigit (Mark) Welch and Coraleen Deering (deceased). Generous and loving (Cow Tails) Grandma to Mick, Valerie, Season, Melody, Carlie, Phil, Collin and Haley. Great-Grandmother of ten.
LoRita knew and cherished the blessing to see her children’s children’s children!
Hard working and industrious, when life threw her curve balls, she was up to the task. This multi-tasking secretary, creative sewing wizard, helpful to others and let me know what you need and I’ll get it done for you woman, loved to help and be involved. Serving her Lord through her church, local civic activities, and enjoying her family while making her legendary cheesecakes, kolaches and pecan balls! Yum!
With a deep love for our country, she was fiercely patriotic. For many years she lead her hometown of Burbank in National Day of Prayer, enlisting the mayor and many others, seeking God’s guidance and blessing on our country. Focus on the Family, Salvation Army and various local and national Christian organizations benefited from her knowledge, prayers, and generosity. She held true to the Founding Fathers’ Christian beliefs, desiring others to learn and embrace this truth for the good of our country and mankind, all to the Glory of God through Jesus Christ her Lord and Savior.
Even shackled at 96 years in mind and body with Alzheimer’s, when her favorite praise and worship songs played, she raised her hands and sang along. Now her chains are gone and she is free indeed.
