Our beloved sister, Lorianne Kay Hodges, “Lori” passed away on August 4th, 2024 in her home, surrounded by her family. Lorianne was born on March 17, 1961 at Berwyn MacNeal Hospital. She grew up in Orland Park, attending Carl Sandburg High School and Moraine Valley Community College. Lori started her career working in the kitchen at her high school and worked for many years as a cook at Ridgeland Nursing facility.
Lori had many friends and lived in Florida enjoying the tropical weather before moving back home to Illinois. Lorianne enjoyed many hobbies: reading, crafting, diamond painting, and painting. She loved being outdoors-camping and fishing with her extended family. She loved the family pets and her beloved dog Hope preceded her in crossing the rainbow bridge. While she had many partners she remained single. Lori was loved by so many and will be missed every day by those of us who remain.
Lori was preceded in death by her father, Gerald E. Hodges. She is survived by her mother, Joyce (Matcha) Hodges, sisters: Pamela Hodges, Karrie (Gary Burt) Hodges, Wendy (Lincoln Eckard) Hodges, and Anne Hodges and her brothers: Christopher and Jonathan Hodges. There are many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and great nephews, many cousins and friends who will be missing her.
A time of visitation for both Lorianne and her brother Christopher will be held on
