May 30, 1935 — September 25, 2017
Lois Vandercook, nee Neumann, age 82, beloved wife of the late Peter Vandercook (2006), the former Fire Chief of the Flossmoor Fire Department. Survived by her sisters Shirley and Joan and preceded in death by her brother Donald. Fond aunt of Karen (Duane) Taylor and family. Loving "mother" of her beloved cat, Calico.
Resident and member of Silver Lake Condominium Association for over 37 years. She loved music and enjoyed singing karaoke on Wednesday nights with her friends at Traverso's. Lois will be missed and fondly remembered by many.
Visitation Tuesday, October 3, 2017 from 3-7 p.m. with a Service of Remembrance at 4:30 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment private at Forest Home Cemetery, Forest Park, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to P.A.W.S., 8301 W. 191st Street, Tinley Park, IL 60487 are appreciated.
