Linda S. Hoekstra, nee Hanenburg, age 72, beloved wife for 52 years to William "Bill" Hoekstra. Loving mother of Brian (Candace) Hoekstra and Carrie (Mike) Derkacy. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Brandon, Quinn, Chase, Graham, Parker and Reese. Dear sister of Daniel (Marilyn) Hanenburg, Paul Hanenburg, Peggy (Scott) Homerding, the late Larry Hanenburg and the late Debra (William Jr.) Buikema. Fond sister-in-law of George (Lynda) Hoekstra. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Linda was a cherished member of Orland Park Christian Reformed Church, where she served as the church librarian for many years. One of her favorite annual events was the American Girl Tea, which she meticulously planned and organized, bringing joy to countless children and families. In addition to her love for literature, Linda was also known for her remarkable skill as a seamstress. Her craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every piece she created, leaving a lasting impression on those who were blessed to witness her talent.
Visitation Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral Service Monday, January 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
