Linda C. Bell, nee Frieling, age 72, beloved wife for 47 years to Harold T. Bell. Loving mother of Kristin (Michael) McNeely and Luke (Alexa) Bell. Cherished grandmother of 8 grandchildren: Kellan, Layla and April McNeely; Cooper, Mina, Eddie, Sutton and Greta Bell. Devoted daughter of the late Menno and Alice (Decker) Frieling. Dear sister of Donald (Jan) Frieling, Marlene (John) Schoon, Shirley (Pete) Shurman, Kenneth (Shari) Frieling, Nancy (late Robert) Hoffman, Beverly (late Edwin) Rozendal and the late Robert (late Nellie) Frieling, and the late Helen (late Kenneth) Van Drunen. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Linda was known to many as a selfless, compassionate woman who above all, prioritized the needs of others and gave unconditionally. Linda was a life-long member of Calvary Church of Orland Park where she enjoyed volunteering in the children’s nursery and welcome booth. Her faith was the foundation she stood upon, and family was closest to her heart. Her talents and hobbies always involved her grandkids. Whether it be baking cookies together, picking and pruning in her beautiful garden, or sewing up the kids’ ripped pants and hemming dresses, life was the fullest when her family was together. We will miss her so.
