Leonard W. Schrank, age 79, US Army Vietnam Veteran, 1st Lieutenant Signal Corps. Beloved husband for 57 years to Colette, nee Wojciechowski. Loving father of Anne Marie (David) Ripp. Cherished grandfather of Adelle, Alexander, and David Robert Ripp. Dearest brother of the late Melvagene (late Barry) Paulson and uncle of Bret (Beth) Paulson, Tim Paulson, and great-uncle of Tyler, Andy, Audrey, and Etta. Dear brother-in-law of Charlene (Ron) Yock and uncle of Lisa (Rob) Denty and Stephen (Marianne) Yock, and great uncle of Madeline and Kevin Denty; Caitlin, Julia, and Lauren Yock.
Leonard had great love of travel and was a man of the road who visited all 50 states and capitals multiple times, even saving gas station receipts from all 50 states. He was also fortunate to have been to over 20 countries. He was a retired CPA and partner at Havey & Co. Leonard was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church. The family of Leonard expresses their gratitude to the extraordinary neighbors they were blessed to have, who were always so kind and helpful.
Visitation Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 3-8 PM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Lying in State Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6850 W. 159th St., Tinley Park, IL 60477. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
