Leonard I. Fornek

Leonard I. Fornek, age 86.  U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.  Beloved husband of Geraldine (nee Dorencz).  Dear father Michael (Kristine), Mary Fornek, and Christine (Jim) Barcelona.  Proud grandfather of Adam, Luke, Sarah, Jake, Eric, Jackson and Ashley; great grandfather of Jayden, Caylah and Colin.  Fond brother of Ted (Jean), Roy (Maryann), the late Claire, the late Alex, the late Edwin and the late Anna Mae.  Cherished brother in law of Lil Fornek, Ray Zmuda and Ed (Arlene) Dorencz.  Dear uncle and friend to many.  Member of the Central Park American Legion Post # 1028. Funeral Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. from the Maher Funeral Home, 17101 S. 71st Ave., Tinley Park (One block east of Harlem on 171st Street in the Olde Tinley Library) to Our Lady of the Woods Church for an 11:15 a.m. Mass.  Private inurnment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
