Leandre Lightfoot

July 5, 1967 — May 3, 2023

LeAndre was the oldest of two children. He was born on

July 5, 1967.  The son of Catherine Lightfoot and the late William Weaver.

LeAndre attended Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois and was a member of the Class of 1986. After graduating high school, LeAndre joined the United States Army where he remained until 1989.

After returning from the U. S. Army, LeAndre and his high school sweetheart Sarah Ann Grady began dating. Soon after, Sarah and LeAndre welcomed their first and only son LeAndre E. Lightfoot.

LeAndre was hired as a Transporter with Cook County Hospital where he worked from 1990 until 2001.  He then pursued and obtained his certification in the medical field as a Certified Medical Assistant.  He was hired at Hines VA Hospital where he worked for several years.

As a Certified Medical Assistant with the Department of Veterans, LeAndre traveled to many states, (including, Michigan, Louisiana, Washington, Nevada, Indiana, Arkansas, Iowa, Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Oregon).

LeAndre was known for being an outgoing person and a lover of music, dancing, nice clothes, jewelry, cars, singing and traveling amongst other activities.  He was a natural comedian, he enjoyed laughing with others and above all, he loved having a good time.

LeAndre departed this life around May 3, 2023.  He was preceded in death by his father William Weaver and his maternal grandmother Sarah Alice Lightfoot.  LeAndre will forever be remembered in the hearts of Catherine Lightfoot (mother), Tammy Lightfoot (sister), LeAndre Lightfoot, Jr. (son) (Porsche), Diamond Patrick Humphrey (nephew), Glennise Peoples (niece), Pearl Brownlow (longtime friend), and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, and friends.
