Kenneth A. Brandau

Kenneth A. Brandau, age 96, beloved husband for 61 years to Norma Jean, nee Young. Loving father of Susan Landwehr, Shari Brandau and bonus daughter Diane (Tom) Gawley. Cherished grandfather of Joshua and his former wife Michelle, Brandi (David), Jennifer (Pat); Colleen (Jim), Cari (Nick), Ashley (Marc), Amber (Rob), Patrick and bonus grandchild Kelle (Sean). Cherished great-grandfather of many. Devoted son of the late Walter and Lillie (nee Bettenhausen) Brandau. Preceded in death by his brothers Raymond (late Elaine) Brandau, Ervin (late Delores and late Terry). Dear brother-in-law of the late Mary (Jerry) Conrad. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Ken was a dedicated, hardworking farmer who may have been among the last to farm in Tinley Park. Ken and his mom and dad were lifelong residents of Tinley Park. He was a remarkable mechanic who could fix just about anything and willingly shared his skills to help people with their cars, tractors, combines and other farming equipment. He also loved auto racing. Ken was a member of Tinley Park United Methodist Church for his entire life. His faith and kindness left a lasting impression on the community.

Visitation Monday, December 29, 2025 from 3-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Lying in State Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Tinley Park United Methodist Church, 6875 W. 173rd Place, Tinley Park, IL 60477 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Interment Tinley Park Memorial Cemetery, Tinley Park, IL.
