Kathryn Marie "Kathy" Mallet

October 21, 1957 — June 8, 2013

Kathryn "Kathy" Marie Mallet, nee Hickey passed away at Silver Cross Hospital, New Lenox, IL, on June 8th, at the age of 55 after her battle with colon cancer. Kathy is survived by her parents, James and Shirley Hickey, and by her loving husband of 30 years, Bill Mallet. She will be greatly missed by her daughter Shanna and son Joseph (Fiancée Gia). Kathy is lovingly remembered by her siblings, Laura and Greg Hall, Margaret and Anson Fairtrace, and James Hickey, all of Lockport, IL. She was so special to many cousins, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. Kathryn was born in Chicago, IL in 1957. She graduated from Carl Sandburg High School in Orland Park in 1975 and attended courses at Moraine Valley College and Saint Xavier. She worked as an Internet Manager at McGrath Lexus of Westmont for 12 years. Her job was her true passion up until her dying moments, and she was frequently recognized for excellence in her field. She enjoyed reading and audio books, and loved to garden and lounge in the pool. She loved her dogs Buddy and Guinness. A Memorial Visitation Tuesday, June 11, 2013, from 3-9PM. Memorial Service Wednesday, June 12, 2013, 11:00AM at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S 73rd Ave (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park.
