Judy was a lifelong woman of profound grace, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family, career, and faith.
Judy A. Steward, aged 75, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2026. Born on March 31, 1951, Judy was a lifelong woman of profound grace, strength, and unwavering dedication to her family, career, and faith.
Judy was welcomed into this world by her loving parents, Alfonzo and Ellen Steward, who preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by three of her siblings: Danny, Arthur, and Alfonzo Steward Jr. She is survived by her loving and devoted brother, Jerry Steward, and sister-in-law, June Steward. Judy was a proud and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Janine Watters (Pamela); her cherished grandson, Robert L. Lewis; and her three precious great-grandchildren: Romello Lewis, Leanna Lewis, and Robert L. Lewis Jr.
She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives she touched deeply.
A devout Catholic, Judy maintained her strong faith throughout her entire life, drawing comfort and community from her spiritual beliefs until her passing. Professionally, she was a dedicated and accomplished executive, working as a Human Resources manager for 33 years at MeadWestvaco before retiring with exemplary status in October 2014.
Known for her fierce loyalty and generous spirit, Judy would give her last to anyone in need and fought like a warrior for the rights and well-being of those she loved. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be profoundly missed.
