Joy Ritzema

Joy Frances Ritzema was born into the arms of Jesus April 16, 2024 at 9:43pm. For being only almost 36 weeks, she was a big girl at 5lbs 12oz and 19.5 inches long! She is preceded in death by two siblings. Joy was the cherished daughter of Gregory and Abigail Ritzema, and granddaughter of Frank and Lisa Voss and Roland and Mary Ritzema. She was a beloved niece.

Joy loved to stretch out and show off her kicks for mama, but was a bit more shy for other people. She did play with her daddy though, and loved to hear him talk and play the piano.

We have hope in Jesus that Joy is in fullness of joy and peace with her maker, only made possible by the Father willingly giving up his son for sinners. The heartbreak is for us here on earth, not for her in heaven. If you are looking to find that hope and do not already have it in our Savior Jesus, please reach out. He eagerly waits to welcome you into his family, just as he welcomed Joy.

Family and friends are invited to a Service at Covenant Orthodox Presbyterian Church 9340 W. 147th St. Orland Park, Illinois on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 2:00PM. Burial will be private at Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery in Oak Lawn, Illinois.
