John Wimmer

John E. Wimmer, age 89, US Army Korean War Veteran, beloved husband for 67 years of the late Beverly G. Wimmer, nee Thompson (2018). Loving father of John D. Wimmer, Cheryl (James) McLaughlin and Lisa (David) White. Cherished grandfather of Jim (Gina) McLaughlin, Matt (Katie) McLaughlin, Jennifer (Jim) Kaczmarcyzk, Jon (Heather) Bomba, Steven Bomba and Nora Bomba. Dearest great-grandfather to six great-grandsons: James, Will, Max, Leo, John and Danny. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.

John loved people and was a favorite bartender at Santucci's Restaurant for over 30 years. He loved to play golf and was a crossword puzzle genius.

Visitation Saturday, September 21, 2019, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service at 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave., (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment private Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton, IL.
