John C. Veldman, age 77, US Army Veteran, beloved husband of Henriette J. nee Greendyke . Loving father of Daryl (Susan) Veldman, Duane (Leah) Veldman, and Dawn (Ross) Teune. Cherished grandfather of Meagan, Lucas, Logan Veldman; Kendra, Connor, and Kyle Teune. Fond brother-in-law of Peter (Dorothy) Greendyke, Lambert (Janet) Greendyke, William (Linda) Greendyke, and Betty (Mike) O’Keefe. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Memorial Service Monday, October 29, 2012 7:00 p.m. at Palos Heights Christian Reformed Church, 7059 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, IL 60463. Fellowship time to follow the service. A private burial service will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Memorials to Southwest Chicago Christian School Foundation preferred.
