John W. Vander Velde Sr., age 91, US Army Korean War Veteran, loving father of John Jr. (Margaret) Vander Velde, Kimberly (Harry) Evert, Amy (Randall) Bulthuis and the late Paul (Karen) Vander Velde. Cherished grandfather of Alan (Amanda) Schubert, Lance Schubert, Samantha (David) Zagotta; Michael Vander Velde; Jacob Bulthuis and Zachary Bulthuis. Dearest great-grandfather of Charlize, Dominic, Alexandria, Ryker, and Bryston. Dear brother of Richard (AnnaMae) Vander Velde, Wilma Steenland, Eleanor "Ellie" (Homer) Wigboldy, Ronald Vander Velde, and the late Gerald (Jane) Vander Velde, Katherine Lenderink, and William "Bill" Vander Velde Jr. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Monday, February 5, 2024 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
