John Gustaf Roos, age 96, US Army, Infantry Tec 5, WWII Veteran, beloved husband for 58 years to the late Gloria Ellen Roos, nee Swan (2016). Loving father of Lisa (John) Filbert. Dear step-grandfather of Anna (Kevin) Palmer. Dearest great-grandfather of Riley and Lucas. Preceded in death by his sister Marge (late Henry) Diya and his brother Mark (late Marge) Roos. Fond uncle of Jim (Pat) Diya, Allan (Joanne) Diya, Rick (Risa) Diya, Kathy (Les) Crook, Mark (Carole) Roos, and Eric (Sondra) Roos. Dearest great uncle of eight and great-great uncle of ten. Friend to many, especially Michelle Hickey, his loving caregiver for many years.

Visitation Friday, October 28, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon with a Funeral Service to follow at 12:00 Noon at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
