John Roon

John L. Roon, age 92, beloved husband of the late Laverne M. Roon, nee Prince (2001) and the late Pauline Roon, nee Horneman (2011). Loving father of Randy (Charleen) Roon, Lynda (Gene) Irons, Rodney "Bruce" (Carole) Roon, Brad (Landa) Roon, Michelle (late Dave) Klinger, Lori (John) Voss, Kevin (Linda) Roon and the late Bryan (Kathy) Roon. Cherished grandfather of 14. Dearest great-grandfather of 24. Dear brother of the late Geziena Huizenga and Henrietta Vriezen.

John was a loyal employee at Wigboldy Excavating for many years. He enjoyed bowling. After retiring, he became an avid puzzle maker.

Visitation Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 3-7 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Burial Wednesday, August 25, 2021 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens South, 11333 S. Central Ave., Oak Lawn, IL. Everyone is to meet at the Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery parking lot.
