John H. Masson

John H. Masson, age 98, US Army Air Force Veteran. Beloved husband of Eleanore, nee Graczyk for 72 years. Loving father Pamela Masson, John P. "Jack" (Marcella) Masson, Colleen (Michael) Ethington. Proud grandfather of Nicole (Eddie) Wieder, Matthew Masson, Kevin Masson, Emily (Mike Frieberg) Flores, Lorenzo (fiancée Kelly McGinty) Flores, Madelyn (Kyle Christensen) Ethington, and Sarah (Justin) Meyer. Dearest great-grandfather of Declan and Killian Wieder; Jacob, Lilith, and Delany Masson. Devoted son of the late Loretta "Dolly" and Oscar Masson. Dear brother of the late Robert Masson. 

John loved to build radio-controlled airplanes and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. He cherished spending time at his cottage in Michigan, where he enjoyed fishing from his trusted Lund boat and relaxing in the beauty of nature. John found joy in watching birds of all kinds. He was a talented mechanic and woodworker, known for his skill and craftsmanship in everything he set his hands to.

Funeral Tuesday, July 8, 2025, 8:45 AM from Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL to Our Mother of Good Counsel Church, 16043 S. Bell Rd., Homer Glen, IL. Mass 10:00 AM. Interment with Military Honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
