John F. Kwak

John F. Kwak, age 79, Ret. CPD, U.S. Marine and U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran. Beloved husband for 23 years to Bernadine. Loving father of Jennifer (Daron) Craker. Dear step-father of Dominic and Nicole.  Cherished grandfather of Jonathan (Naomi) and Zachary. Dearest great-grandfather of Jasper, Jazlynn and Finley. Devoted son of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Nieminski). Dear brother of the late Joseph Jr. and Jean Ann.

John graduated from grammar school at St. John’s Military Academy in Delafield, Wisconsin. He then attended and graduated from Kelly High School in Chicago, IL.

John began his career with Chicago Police Department in 1968 and faithfully served until his retirement in 1996. He then joined the Tinley Park Fire Department in 1998 where he served for five years.

In his spare time, John enjoyed fishing, road trips, and spending time at the casino.
