John Kmiecik

John T. Kmiecik, Jr., age 69, loving father of Kristie Lochirco and Katrina (Ricky) Hegeduis. Cherished grandfather of Concetta, Katarina, Ketsiya and Isaiah. Beloved son of the late John and Wanda Kmiecik. Fond nephew of Bernice Wisniowicz and Sylvia Wisniowicz. Dear cousin of many.

John was a one-of-a-kind guy with many aliases, but most knew him as Stosh or JK. His style made him unique, and this is how he showed his love for his family and friends. He had amazing attention to detail and was always willing to stop what he was doing to lend a helping hand. In addition, John had a love and passion for his family, beautiful garden, fishing, and traveling. John also was known for his catchphrases. His top ones were, "If you're not getting older, you're dead." Also, "We're not here for a long time but for a good time," "remember, no man is a failure who has friends," and "Don't get old and don't get sick." John was loved by all that knew him. No matter where he was, he would talk to whoever was there, asking 100 questions about what most wouldn't even ponder. Undoubtedly, he will be greatly missed but will always be alive in the hearts of those who knew him. Oh, one more thing, I know we will never forget the clicking noise of his cowboy boots.

Visitation Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service 7:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.

Graveside Service Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, 7201 Archer Ave., Justice, IL. Please meet at cemetery entrance.
