John Cernick

July 29, 1920 — September 19, 2017

John A. Cernick, age 97, WWII U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved husband for 65 years to Isabella, nee Fontana. Loving father of Paula (Guido) DiDomenico, John (Pam) Cernick and Marguerite Crudo. Cherished grandfather of Anthony (Jeanne) DiDomenico, Melissa (Mike) Seper, Paula (Paul) Zolper, Valerie Crudo, Joe Crudo and Vincent Crudo. Dearest great-grandfather of Guido and Luca. Preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

John was a volunteer for 30 years at Hines VA Hospital.

Visitation at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL Friday, September 22, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of Prayer Service 10:30 a.m. to St. Julie Billiart Church, 7399 W. 159th St., Tinley Park, IL for Mass at 11:15 a.m. Entombment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside, IL.
