Jerome J. "Jerry" Astrauskas, age 80, beloved husband for 54 years to Marla, nee Srnensky. Loving father of Christopher (Jennifer) Astrauskas, Rachel (Crosbie) Smith and Joseph Astrauskas. Dear former father-in-law of Krista Grieser. Cherished grandfather of Natasha and Quentin Astrauskas; Hugh and James Smith; and Ben Michalk. Beloved son of the late Joseph and Helen Astrauskas. Fond brother-in-law of Susan (Richard) Darrah. Dear uncle of Ryan (Lynn) Darrah, Kevin (Jill) Darrah, Mike (Suzanna), Darrah, and Amy (Patrick) Cusack. Dearest great uncle of Abigail, Alex, Elyse, Tess, Liam, Lette, and Malcolm. Special cousin to Dolores Zingler.

Jerry was a retired English and French teacher at Oak Lawn High School with over 34 years of service. He found joy in the simple pleasures - spending time with family, tending his garden, losing himself in a good book, and the delicious ritual of baking bread. A devoted White Sox fan, he loved sharing those days at the ballpark. Growing up in Bridgeport, he and his father would walk to the games.

Visitation Sunday October 12, 2025, from 3-7 pm at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Visitation continues on Monday, October 13, 2025 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 13350 S. LaGrange Rd., Orland Park, IL 60462 from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. A live stream of the service will be available. The link will be posted shortly.
