Jeanne Shirley Carver

Jeanne Shirley Swanson Carver, age 85, lost her battle with cancer on October 6, 2009. Jeanne was born on November 4, 1923, to the late Mabel and Conrad Swanson in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Jeanne grew up in Chicago and graduated from Calumet High School. She attended business college and began working in the city of Chicago. Jeanne married the late Al Carver on August 9, 1947. Together they are survived by their son Dennis Carver of Palos Heights, daughter Diane (Chuck) Jansen of Overland Park, Kansas, son David Carver, deceased, grandchildren David Carver, Kevin Jansen, Brian Jansen, and Cathy Jansen. Jeanne was a member of the Palos United Methodist Church for 62 years, where she sang in the choir, played piano and taught Sunday school. In her earlier years, she worked at the Chamber of Commerce in Hinsdale, Rich Realestate, and volunteered at Lake Katherine. Fond lover of pets and music. Jeanne resided in Palos Heights for 62 years. Jeanne had a kind and gentle spirit. She will be missed by many.
