Jean S. Zapka, nee Popiela, age 71, passed away peacefully at her home on June 7, 2021. Beloved wife of 46 years to Ronald. Loving mother of Sarah (Tim) Neighbors. Cherished grandmother of Austin and Makenzie. Dear sister of Wally (Nancy) Popiela, Fred (Sue) Popiela and twin brother Rich Popiela. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Jean's sense of humor and generosity touched many lives. She devoted her time to family, especially her grandchildren. Jean will be deeply missed by all those who loved her, but her presence will always be felt.
Family and friends are invited to meet directly at St. Elizabeth Seton Church, 9300 W. 167th St., Orland Hills, IL on Friday, June 11, 2021. Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment private.
