Jean M. Dering, nee Prince, age 99, beloved wife of 74 years to the late Raymond P. Dering (2022). Loving mother of Barbara (Tom) Miles. Cherished grandmother of Michael (Becky) Tomasek. Dearest great-grandmother of Grant. Dear sister of the late Ethel Prince, Harriet Prince, Frances Prince, Ray Prince and Bernice (Ted) Schoustra. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Jean was a lifelong member of the Christian Reformed Church and devoted volunteer who especially enjoyed serving at Elim and Pass It On Thrift Store. She enjoyed playing the piano, solving word puzzles and had fun traveling on many cruises and European tours.
Visitation Wednesday, May 28, 2025 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
Burial private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
