Janice Rompala

Janice L. Rompala (Ferency), age 73, born on December 26, 1950 and passed away on July 7, 2024. Beloved wife for 52 years to David after dating for four years. Loving mother of Megan Christine and Nichole Ann who she now has joined in heaven. Cherished Nana of Halie and Chase. Devoted daughter of Evelyn Ferency. Dear sister-in-law of Sandra Mae. Dearest aunt of Heather, David, Cory and Gina and great-aunt of Gabriel. Jan was the "adopted" aunt to many.

She was a heavenly caregiver of her handicapped daughter Nichole Ann. Since her years in college, some of Jan's friends would call her Ja-Nice because of how kind, friendly and nice she was to everyone she met. Jan was an elementary school teacher for over 40 years spending most of her time in Orland Park District 135 at Doctor School and Park School. She was very active in her church. Jan was in charge of the greeters group, taught and assisted in Bible studies, volunteered for Vacation Bible School and was involved with many women's ministries. She loved any activity that involved being with her husband, daughter, grandchildren, family and friends.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Hickory Creek Church, 10660 W. Lincoln Highway, Frankfort, IL 60423 from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a Service to Celebrate Jan's life to follow at 4:00 p.m. Following the service will be a time of food and fellowship.
