Janice "Jan" Hoekstra

October 5, 1937 — November 14, 2021

Janice A. "Jan" Hoekstra, nee Ridderhoff, age 84, peacefully went to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on November 14, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Wayne Wagner (1977) and the late Thomas Hoekstra (2017). Loving mother of Dale (late Patty) Wagner, Denise Wagner, Doreen Wagner, Darlene (John) Van Kampen, Rev. David (Molly) Wagner and Cheryl (Larry) Crawley. Cherished grandmother of 13. Dearest great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of Judy Smith and the late John Ridderhoff.

Jan knew and served Jesus all the days of her life. The way she lived and loved spoke louder than a thousand sermons through her life of grace, gratitude and worship. Jan was a lifelong member of Calvary Church where she loved singing in the choir for many years. She had many hobbies like reading, playing games, and going to garage sales. Jan was always up for an adventure especially if it meant going to the lake or the beach. She always found and brought out the gold in everyone and loved people really well. Her life was a picture of faithfulness and that was evident in both her spiritual and natural life.

Jan worked for Schaaf Window Company for more than 30 years. Although she will be greatly missed her memory and legacy will live on through her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
