Janella "Jan" Merrick

Janella “Jan” Merrick, nee Wallman, age 88, beloved wife of the late John M. Merrick (2015). Loving mother of Monte (Kim) Merrick. Cherished grandmother of Jon (Jaime) Merrick, Dan (Katie) Merrick and Kiersten (Josh) Mollema. Proud great-grandmother of Jack, Liam, Mia, Ava, Teddy, Ben, Mason, Beau, Landon and another on the way. Dear sister of Larry (Barb) Wallman and Jeanette Wallman.

Jan will be remembered as a Life Master bridge player and as the founder and owner of Custom Plate Glass in Posen, IL. With skill, dedication, and a strong sense of community, she brought excellence to both the game she loved and the business she built. Her legacy will continue through the many people she touched, the friendships she formed, and the lasting impact of her work.

Visitation Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave., (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
