Jane L. Zoeterman

Jane L. Zoeterman, nee De Jong, age 69, passed away unexpectedly at her home on March 21, 2026. Beloved wife for 39 years to George D. Zoeterman. Loving mother of Rebekah, Timothy and Christopher. Devoted daughter of Eleanore (nee Roeters) and the late Theodore De Jong. Dear sister of Philip (Ruth) De Jong and the late Ralph De Jong. Dear sister-in-law of Sandra (late Dale) Van Kley, Timothy (late Jennifer) Zoeterman, Denise (partner Therese) Zoeterman, and Debra (Ronald) Haan. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Jane served as a teacher at Chicago Christian Schools for 32 years. In the elementary school, middle school, computer lab, and library, she taught thousands of students. Jane was intentional about knowing all of her students well, and was always generous with her time and help.

Jane was a member of Faith CRC for 38 years. She gave her time to countless groups and causes at church, always doing as much as she could to be a Christlike servant.

Visitation Friday, March 27, 2026 from 3-8 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL. Visitation continues Saturday, March 28, 2026 at Faith Christian Reformed Church, 8383 W. 171st St., Tinley Park, IL from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Service 11:00 a.m. Interment private.
