James “Bud” Smit, age 91, WWII US Navy Veteran, beloved husband of the late E. Olwen, nee Thomas. Loving father of Janet (Milton) Nichols, James A. (Mary Beth) Smit, and the late Linda Kosinski. Cherished grandfather of Tom (Carla) Nichols, Jeff Nichols, Rich and Karen Kosinski, Colleen Strumpf, and Allison Kosinski. Dearest great grandfather of Katie and Maggie Nichols. Dear father-in-law of George (Karen) Kosinski. Fond brother of Mildred DeGroot and the late Edith Tazelaar and George Smit.
