James Highland

James F. "Jim" Highland, age 76, US Army Vietnam Veteran, beloved husband for 30 years to Linda Heyse-Highland. Loving father of Joshua (Karla) Highland, Micah (Tracy) Highland, and Jessica Highland. Cherished grandfather of Trevor, Audrey, Dahlia, Henry, Sloane, and Vivian. Dear brother of Roger (late Mary) Highland, David (Mary) Highland, and Pamela Melko. Dearest uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Jim was a professor at Chicago City Colleges, he directed plays at the colleges and also for Calvary Church. He was active in many ministries including serving as a Stephen Minister and was president of the congregation of Holy Apostles Lutheran Church. Jim was an avid fly fisherman and also loved to travel.

Visitation Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Calvary Church of Orland Park, 16100 S. 104th Ave., Orland Park, IL from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 Noon with a Service to celebrate Jim's life to follow at 12:00 Noon. A time of fellowship and a luncheon will immediately follow the service. A live-stream of the service will be available.
