James Alan Dougherty

James A. Dougherty, 82, Veteran U.S.A.F. late of Tinley Park (formerly of East Chicago, Ind.) after an illness.  Beloved son of his late parents, Richard and Helen Dougherty.  Cherished husband of Joan (nee Borke) Dougherty.  Devoted father of;  Desiree' (Joseph) Griseta, Geoffrey (Jennyfer) and James (Charisse).  Loving brother of; the late Richard (late Patricia), Elizabeth Kozmic,  Helen Jean (late Larry) Bossinger and Lori (Gene) McGee.  Dearest grandfather of; Brittany (Zachary) Felseta, Desiree' (fiance' Chaz Clark), Dillon, Dominic, Kallie, Madeline, Ella and Holden.  Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.  James enjoyed fishing, was very patriotic, but most of all enjoyed visiting with his family.  Visitation Friday, January the 13th from 9:00am - 12:00pm.  Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery with U.S.A.F. veteran honors afforded. In lieu of flowers, donations to Disabled American Veterans or The Wounded Warrior Project appreciated.
