Veteran U.S. Air Force, U.S. Air National Guard, and longtime member of the U.S. Funeral Honor Guard.
Beloved husband of Debbie Burton nee Brandau for 37 years.
Loving father of Neal (Bridgette) and David (Lisa) Burton.
Cherished grandfather of Jaxon, Victor, Delila, Hayden, and Vivien.
Dear brother of Jeri-Helene Wood and John (Erica) Burton.
Kind friend of many.
James will be remembered for his sense of humor and his love of his family, friends, and country.
Visitation Friday, February 14th from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with Military honors at 7:00 pm at Maher Funeral Home, 17101 S. 71st Ave, Tinley Park. Interment private.
