Jacob Voss

Jacob Henry Voss, age 72, son of the late Jacob and Johanna Voss and loving husband of Sharla (Zylstra) Voss, was sent to his Heavenly Home January 31st, 2025. Jacob is survived by his wife (Sharla) and children: Jacob (Tiffany Tibstra) Voss, Shallise Voss, Rashelle (Michael) Thornburg, Joseph (Kristie Duracka) Voss, and Jeremiah (Ashley Jaques) Voss. Jacob was the proud grandfather of his 14 dear grandchildren as well:

- Jakob, the late Morgan, Jensen, and Emma Voss
- Benjamin Voss and Isabella (Sean) Miller
- Analeigh and Jocelyn Thornburg
- Bradley, Blake, and Everly Voss
- Owen and Natalie Voss

Jacob was a beloved brother of Betty (late William) Loerop, John (Loreen Roon) Voss, Joanne (Bruce) Harnew, Grace (Edward) Jongsma, and the late brothers Allen Voss and Edward Voss.

Jacob spent his life serving those around him, impacting many through his passion, strong work ethic, and deep devotion. A remarkable craftsman, Jacob has been responsible for constructing many buildings and homes, including several of his own, creating beautiful places for memories to be made and cherished.

Jacob was a respected man of immense faith, dedicated to his family who will continue on his legacy of craftsmanship and dedication. Affectionately called ‘Dad’ and ‘Papa,’ his family cherishes the time spent with him in his Colorado home.

A Service to celebrate Jacob's life will take place at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will follow the service from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. A live-stream of the service will be available. Burial will be private at Chapel Hill Gardens South, Oak Lawn, IL.
