Jack M. Campione, age 76, proud U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran, passed away surrounded by family. Jack honorably served with the Blackhorse 11th Armored Calvary Regiment.
He was the beloved husband of Christine (née Emery) Campione; devoted father of Liz (Bryan) Fronczek and Jake (Tiffany) Campione; and dear stepfather of Erik and Keith Hoeksema. Jack was a proud grandfather to Sophie, Max, Gia, and Chase, and the loving twin brother of Joe (late Nina) Campione. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him.
Jack was a homicide detective with the Chicago Police Department dedicating 32 years to protecting and serving others before retiring honorably. A lifelong Chicagoan and loyal Chicago Bears fan, his game-day enthusiasm was unmatched and brought joy to everyone around him.
Beyond his career and love of sports, Jack’s greatest passion was food. He found true joy in cooking for his family—turning meals into moments of laughter, love, and connection. His warmth and generosity filled both his home and the hearts of those he cared for.
