Holly J. Acklin, nee Peterson, age 62, beloved wife for 36 years to Thomas S. Acklin. Loving mother of Rebecca (Hayden) Beissel. Devoted daughter of the late James and Janice (nee Hagen) Peterson. Dear sister of Gregory Peterson and John (Martha) Peterson. Fond sister-in-law of Michael (Karen) Acklin, Kathleen (late Richard) Lodewegen, Susan (Richard) Wilson, Mark (Sharon) Acklin and Carol (Richard) Stern. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Treasured friend of many.

Holly found joy in arts and crafts, turning simple moments into handmade treasures. She cherished scenic vacations, letting the beauty of the world refresh her spirit even through life’s challenges. She faced many challenging illnesses with quiet grace, rarely complaining as she endured each hurdle with courage. She also loved and was devoted to her cats. Holly’s thoughtfulness, generosity and unwavering strength will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL from 1-4 p.m. with a Service to Celebrate Holly’s life at 4:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to All Saints Lutheran Church, 13350 S. LaGrange Road, Orland Park, IL 60462 are appreciated.
