Dear sister of the late Ella (Bill) Bruinius, the late Leslie (Clarice) Pleiter, and Janet (John) De Vries. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Etta was a woman whose hands were rarely still and whose heart was always full. An avid quilter, talented baker, and lifelong creator, she found joy in making things beautiful. Whether she was sewing, gardening, baking her famous pies and cream puffs, or searching for seashells along the beaches of Florida, she embraced life’s simple pleasures and shared them generously with those around her.
Etta, alongside her husband Lou, lived a life firmly rooted in faith, service, and the value of hard work. For 18 years, she faithfully volunteered at the Pass It On Thrift Center, sharing her creative talents to support both the store and Christian education. She exemplified dedication, consistency, and a servant's heart, instilling these values in her children, grandchildren, and the generations that follow.
