Helen Mcnamara

Helen McNamara 91, nee Crotty, daughter of the late Mary Berry, passed away peacefully Jan 3, surrounded by her family and loving husband of 71 years Robert. Loving mother of Robert (Evelyne), Marie, Laraine (Dan), William (Mari-anne) and Michael (Kelly). Grandmother of 19, great grandmother of 6. Sister to the late Mary, Raymond, Edward and Catherine. Cherished aunt to many nieces, nephews, and cousins in the U.S. and Ireland. Former member of Brother Rice Mother’s Club.

Helen was born and raised in the Englewood neighborhood and was always proud of her Irish Southside heritage. Her hobbies included golfing, bowling, baking and traveling around the U.S. and Europe with her husband Robert. Helen loved spending time with her children and grandkids. She will always be remembered for her humor, laughter, generosity, love of sports, and her love of family, friends and animals.

It was Helen’s wish that she be cremated and no services at this time, but later in the spring. While we rejoice that Helen is in Heaven with her heavenly father and family we shall forever miss her presence with us.
