Harry Prychitko

Harry Prychitko, age 87, U.S. Army Veteran, born on August 12, 1936, passed away peacefully at his home on July 4, 2024.

Beloved husband of the late Joanne (nee Giancarlo), beloved partner of the late Renee Shlensky. Loving father of David (Julie) Prychitko and Maria (Donald) Vacha. Beloved near-stepfather to David (Annie) Shlensky, Howard (Darla) Shlensky, and Barbara Shlensky-Riley. Cherished “Papa” to grandkids Sonja, Emily, Ally, Anthony, Maddie, Louis, and Anna, and “Poppy” to Justin, Jordan, Jared, Samantha, Colin, Courtney, Jeremy, and Kelsey. “Great Poppy” to Lydia and Birdie. Great Grandfather to Atlas, born on the day of Harry’s passing. Devoted brother of the late Tex (the late Marie) Laurence, the late Daniel (Arlene) Prychitko, the late Olga (the late Fred) Thomas, and the late Ann (the late Al) Napolillo. Dear brother-in-law of Amy (the late Jim) Crockett, the late Dennis (Gail) Giancarlo, Bob (Kathy) Giancarlo, Paul Giancarlo, and Mike (Sharon) Giancarlo, and also dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A jack-of-all-trades, Harry freely shared his life lessons and wisdom. He loved playing the slots and especially fishing, but most of all he loved his family.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, August 3, 2024 from 1-3 p.m. with a Service to Celebrate Harry's life to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Colonial Chapel, 15525 S. 73rd Ave. (155th/Wheeler Dr. & Harlem) Orland Park, IL.
